Q: What does the E-Lampinator do?
A: The E-LAMPINATOR is designed to effectively compact spent fluorescent lamps of all shapes and sizes while encapsulating the toxic mercury. This system will also compact incandescent, compact fluorescent lamps/bulbs and HID bulbs (diameter is dependent on the model).

At present, all fluorescent lamps contain mercury, including, but not limited to green tip tubes and CFL’s. Mercury is a necessary component in constructing this type of energy efficient lamp. All lighting (and other devices) containing mercury must be disposed of according to local, state and federal requirements.

Q: I have heard of lamp storage programs. Why not use a lamp storage program?
A: Storing spent lamps takes up space and the lamps that are accumulated can easily be broken. This creates an OSHA challenge for worker exposure and hazardous environments. ANY breakage defeats the purpose recycling.
